Back to the Stone Age

Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer, Eric Singer

"Back To The Stone Age" is Gene Simmons sung song was inspired by the legendary MC5 and provides a rare Eric Singer song-writing credit and the only song on the album credited to the whole band. According to Paul, "That song was written in the studio while we were playing and trying to come up with another track. It's what we breathe, it's what we eatů That is who we are. We're a two-guitar, bass, and drum rock band" (Monster Zine-Pak). Eric's input was to get Gene and Paul to look at the lyrics from a different perspective and to "make it more heavy, more Neanderthal, and slow it down" (Monster Zine-Pak).
