Wall of Sound

Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Tommy Thayer

The "guts" of this song was spontaneously written in the studio in around 40 minutes (Classic Rock). The band had become more comfortable with each other, and tighter due to the process with which they wrote the previous album. As for the song what was initially considered a working-title eventually stuck. It was one of the first songs from the album to be publically mentioned (December 2011). That band effort started with Tommy bringing in the core riff. Paul constructed the melody and lyric; and Gene fine-tuned and seasoned the work the song combining many of the band's influences. The "Wall of Sound" is inspired by the biblical "Walls of Jericho" which were brought down by the blaring of the Israelite's trumpets (Joshua 6:20 NKJV).
