I'm An Animal

Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, Tommy Thayer

This Gene track ended up being one of the stranger cases from history of recycling material. It borrowed much from the verses of "Feel Like Heaven," a song he had written that had been recorded by Peter Criss for his 1982 "Let Me Rock You" album (also recorded at Conway Recording Studios!). However, the character of the lyrics was changed substantially for the new piece. In this way, while there was most certainly recycling present in several songs, they were transformed and crafted in the studio to make them fresh rather than simply picking something from the past for the sake of doing so.
