All For The Glory

Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons

Eric Singer made his studio lead vocal debut on "All For The Glory" written by Gene and Paul. Technically, he'd made that debut on the "KISS Klassics" CD released in Japan the previous year, singing on the re-recording of "Black Diamond." Like the other material "All For The Glory" attempted to present the anthemic themes KISS could deliver so well.

"All For The Glory" wasn't the first song considered for Eric to sing on "Sonic Boom." Originally, Paul brought in a song that would have been softer-edged, similar in style to "Hard Luck Woman." It was a song that Paul had written in 1989 and Eric had even played on the demo! Unfortunately, it had been written with an outside song-writer, so even though Greg Collins liked it, it was discarded.
